There’s a moment we don’t often notice. We hear something powerful. A sentence that lands.
A concept that makes sense.
And almost instantly… our mind says: “I know this.”
But in that moment, something subtle happens.
And without even realizing it, we move on… even though it made sense— it didn’t impact us enough to actually do something differently.
Today, everything is fast.
We listen to podcasts. Watch videos. Read posts.
And because something resonates… we assume we’ve integrated it.
But knowing something… is not the same as living it.
As Joe Dispenza says:
“Knowledge without practice is philosophy.
Practice without knowledge is ignorance.”
And somewhere in between… is where real change happens.
It means that just because something makes sense… doesn’t mean it’s yours yet.
It might be true. It might be powerful. It might even feel aligned.
But until you live it… it’s still just an idea.
And more importantly — you don’t actually know if it works for you.
This is the part we often skip.
We hear something and assume: “This is how it is.”
But is it?
Or is it simply something that works… for someone else?
Because not every rule, every method, every belief— is meant for you.
The only way to know if something is true for you… is to try it.
To experience it. To live it. To see how it actually feels in your life.
Not in theory. But in reality.
The gap is not between not knowing and knowing.
The real gap is between knowing… and embodying.
Between understanding something… and actually living it.
So next time something resonates… pause.
Before you say: “I know this.”
Ask yourself: Am I living this? Or do I just understand it?
And here's where it gets interesting.
Because often, when we collect idea after idea without truly experiencing any of them… we don't feel stuck.
We feel busy. We listen, scroll, absorb, consume — and it all feels like movement. But it isn't. Not really.
The more we fill ourselves with motivational content, new concepts, and inspiring frameworks… the faster the wheel spins.
And the faster it spins… the more exhausted we become.
Still going. Still moving. But still in the same place.
That is the illusion.
Not just "I already know this."
But: "I am doing so much… so why is nothing changing?"
The answer is almost always the same.
Because knowing and consuming… is not the same as doing. And the only way to step off the wheel… is to actually do something.
Not understand it more deeply. Not find a better explanation. Do it.
Even imperfectly. Even just once.
Because that one real step — no matter how small — is worth more than a hundred ideas you only understood.
Real change doesn’t come from collecting ideas.
It comes from experiencing them.
Because only when something becomes part of how you live… does it truly become yours.

I’m right there Davy!! Learning about Christianity vs. walking with God, growing in faith, and serving him with my coaching. As always, so profound and I resonate with the message.
Patricia, I’m really glad you resonate with this 💛
It’s beautiful to hear how you are living your faith through growth, coaching, and your walk with God. Thank you for sharing that.
